Professor Ting graduated Magna Cum Laude with a D.M.D. Degree and a D.Med.Sc from  Harvard University.  Professor Ting was formerly the Academic Senate Professor and founding chair in the Division of Growth and Development at UCLA with joint professorship at the School of Medicine and School of Engineering.  Professor Ting currently is an adjunct orofessor at the Forsyth Institute, Cambridge, MA, USA.  He holds multiple joint appointments at internationally known Institutes and universities such as and Peking Univerity, Zhejiang Univerdity in China.  He has experience in managing large clinical and research units.

Professor Ting is an expert in translational and tissue engineering research.  Professor Ting original research has received well over 6,000 citations. It has been published in many leading journals (over 140 peer-reviewed journals), including Nature Communications, Journal of Clinical Investigation, PLOS One, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, and Biomaterials, etc.  Professor Ting holds inventorship on over 78 applied for and issued patent applications to the US Patent and Trademark Office. 

In the biotech industry, Professor Ting has capital raise of $US 40M for biotech start-ups.  Professor also serves as a board member of a hospital and several companies.  He recently served as a critical scientific advisory board member at Angelalign Technology, a successful biotech company that went IPO in Hong Kong with a market cap of approximately US 10B.
